Many are the reasons that blog entries are not always current! Life is full of responsibilities, of course. And then there are the creeps of the world, who think they can take over someone else’s blog by posting foul material. For those of you who wonder why comments don’t appear rightaway, or don’t appear at all, that’s the reason. Everything here is family-friendly, or at least, isn’t nasty. (However, I don’t guarantee that I won’t offend someone, sooner or later, since I’m quite outspoken.) But it’s my blog: I pay for it, and those are my rules. In case some of you can’t grasp that, it’s the same philosophy behind my refusal to break my neck, trying to answer the phone. It’s my phone, and I pay the bill; you do not. I will answer the phone, or not answer it. That’s within my control, not yours, especially if you’re a telemarketer.
So, outside of dealing with jerks, what else do writers do in their spare time? A writer writes, of course, and this writer has had a few irons in the fire, as of late. You can check out some of my articles here. I’d be pleased to have you do so, as soon as you get a spare moment, and please tell your friends, especially those who publish online magazines and need fresh material. The text for my children’s books is ready, and as soon as I can afford to pay the right illustrator—one in need of building a portfolio—I will seek financing to publish them, through one of many options. As any of you who have tried it, already know, 4-color inside artwork is fearfully expensive to get printed. One of many good reasons why it would be good to win the lottery once in a while. And of course, we should never give up on Reader’s Digest or Publishers Clearing House. Hah! Oh well, someone always wins, even if it isn’t anyone we know.
